Episode #51: Elon Musk's Twitter Acquisition Plans Delayed

Elon Musk’s $44 billion plan to buy Twitter has been put on hold, as the world’s richest man continues to hash out the terms of his acquisition in public. Earlier last month, the billionaire said he was delaying negotiations while he sought more information about the percentage of fake accounts on Twitter.

Media experts are raising concerns about a Twitter acquisition by Musk, a self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist.” The Tesla CEO said he would lift the ban on former president Donald Trump from Twitter, following the January 6 White House attacks.

With us today to talk about the issue is Michael Karanicolas, Executive Director of the UCLA Institute for Technology, Law and Policy.
